Clubs

Club Infinity is York University’s Mathematics Club located in the Math/Stat Common Room N537 Ross (generally open on weekdays). It is a small and informal group of students who share a common interest in math and statistics. Each year they organize a number of events of interest to math and statistics students including talks given by professors, graduate or undergraduate students, annual Pi Day celebrations on March 14, and semi-annual Past Math Exam Sales. Drop in to eat, work on assignments, play cards, discuss math/stats problems or just socialize. You don’t have to be a member of the club; the room is open to all. You are invited to join the club; there is no membership fee.

The Actuarial Students’ Association at York University (ASAYU) helps students who are interested in actuarial science matters. It organizes study groups, peer advising, exam preparation, and most importantly, the Actuarial Convention held in early January. This convention is a three day event with a career fair for students followed by workshops and seminars. Contact Prof. Furman for additional information about ASAYU.
