Help
Whether you are majoring in one of our programs, taking a course required by another program, or taking a course for general interest, we want to help you to learn and enjoy mathematics and/or statistics.
Questions concerning your program, or enrolment in courses, are best handled by the Undergraduate Program Office in N502, N503 Ross (416-736-5902). This office is open Monday–Friday, 10:30a.m.– 12:00 p.m. and 1:00p.m.–3:00p.m.
If you have questions or difficulties in a specific course, there are several sources of help.
1. Your instructor will try his best to help you.
2. Some courses have tutorials specific to the course, check with your course director for tutorial scheduling information.
3. Introductory courses with large enrollments offer individual assistance in our Math/Stat Lab (S525 Ross).
4. Many students find study groups to be effective in mastering course material.
5. Some students may decide to hire a tutor and if you wish your name added to the list please email support.
6. Bethune College has resources to help students succeed in their math and statistics courses. In particular, there are special tutorials for entering students who need to upgrade their skills in algebra and trigonometry.
Find an effective method of meeting each challenge as it arises. Do not wait until the day before a test or the end of the course to deal with issues. It is usually too late!
