Returning Students
Welcome back! We hope you have had a productive summer and are ready to resume your studies successfully. Before classes start, make sure you have chosen the appropriate courses so that you meet all your program requirements by the end of your last year of studies. In particular, many math and statistics courses have prerequisite courses which must be completed beforehand. So, plan ahead!
Check out the resources available to make your studies successful and enjoyable. We have a variety of programs, and make sure you have chosen the appropriate one that meets your academic goals and career plans. When challenges arise in your courses, there are a number of ways to obtain advice and help. We hope you participate in our club activities and meet the challenge of participating in a contest.
If you are a second year honours student, you should be completing the courses of the Common Core. These courses give you a familiarity with the math and statistics studied in our programs. Note it is straightforward to change programs if you discover a different program that better fits your academic goals and career plans.
If you began your studies at York in Winter 2008, or earlier, you may complete your program under the old requirements which were in effect at the time you began your studies at York. On the other hand, you have the option to complete your program by meeting the new requirements. See page 2 of our supplemental calendar for details.
Feel free to bring any questions you may have to our Undergraduate Office.
